Here at Bleach Hair Spa, we have been open since April 2022. Elaine has been hairdressing for 23 years , and wanted to create a salon where her clients could relax, without the regular salon conveyor belt mentality. So she had a major lightbulb moment! And then came the birth of Bleach Hair Spa.
The front reception area is pink and girly and automatically puts a smile on our clients face's. Then we go into the glam zone where clients work is done with the most comfortable seats, blush walls and soft lighting, so when you look in the mirror it’s more complimentary than the intense lighting. There are chandeliers and gold luxurious decor. We then go to the chill zone/colour bar. Here clients who have anxiety about looking in the mirror or just fancy sitting watching tv and helping themselves to coffee and snacks can chill out but also feel part of the salon. Then around the corner we have the zen zone where hair is washed and everyone gets an Indian head massage and scalp scrub. The lights are dimmed in our indoor garden decor and clients can lay back in the massaging recliner chairs and snores are encouraged. 
The special services we provide for our clients and 100% complimentary are:
a silent appointment. We literally go through consultation and check in every now and again, no mundane chit chat.
A mirror less appointment: a lot of people avoid going to salons just because they have to look at themselves and it gives them severe anxiety so we have opened our doors to them. We have an option they can tick on their booking file for these appointments so they don’t have to ask in person. They can opt to have the mirror covered or sit at the colour bar where it’s less obvious to other clients.
A secret transformation: some clients just don’t know what to do or what to ask for or just trust our skills and a lot of times some clients are going through hair loss and need a hairpiece applied but don’t want to see the process. So we go through their wishes, either blindfold them or cover the mirror and do a final reveal at the end and it’s magical to see their reactions.
Making people happy makes us happy. We are so glad we are able to create a space for not only our clients to feel safe and listened too but also the staff. They are the happiest bunch and get exactly the feel and environment we want to make. We also have a judgement free policy in the salon where every age, sex, race, religion is looked after and kindness is key. We also have a gender neutral price list as hair has no gender in our eyes. All of these little things have made our salon a huge success and we recently won best new salon business 2023 at the Hi Style awards.
